Brand Identity
The Challenge
Big Dog Coffee had a great product and a loyal following, but their brand no longer reflected the business they were becoming.
As they looked to grow and reach new audiences, it became clear that the brand needed to evolve.
They wanted an identity that would reflect who they were now, and open the door to bigger opportunities.

Design Approach
The new identity focuses on clarity, recognition, and refinement.
I introduced a more structured system with a bold, recognisable logo and simplified visual language, giving Big Dog a distinct presence without losing approachability.
The packaging was designed to improve consistency and shelf standout, creating a cleaner system across all products.

“The new branding has made a real difference. We've had more interest from stockists, more orders coming through the site, and loads of positive feedback on the packaging. It just feels like the brand finally reflects who we are.”

Website Design and Build
Website Approach
I designed and built a fully custom ecommerce site that brought the new identity to life online. By integrating with Big Dog Coffee’s existing Shopify setup through Webflow and Shopyflow, I delivered a fast, flexible front end, free from platform limitations.
The build focused on reducing friction for customers at every stage, including more clear calls to action, quick-add functionality, and adaptable content areas to spotlight the monthly ‘Roaster’s Pick’ coffee.
The result is a site that’s not only visually aligned with the brand, but also accessible, SEO-ready, and built to support long-term growth.
Impact
Within two weeks of launch, Big Dog Coffee saw major gains in customer acquisition and sales.
The rise in completed checkouts, paired with a surge in new customers, suggests a stronger conversion rate and a more effective site that helped turn visitors into buyers.

Younessi Studio continues to support Big Dog Coffee with ongoing input across brand strategy, packaging, and customer experience. The work evolves as the business grows, with design decisions grounded in long-term thinking.
